Aspicore GSM Tracker for S60 Version History ============================================ v2.20 ----- Release date 28 March 2007 When using HTTP protocol, the coordinates are now correctly signed also in the range of from -0.99 degrees to 0 degrees. (In earlier version, the program always used positive sign for the coordinate values between -0.99 degrees and 0.99 degrees, when HTTP protocol was used. This was a problem e.g. in London.) The occassional slow application exit problem should be now solved. The problem was correlated with an unexpected break in the packet data connection. v2.19 ----- Release date 5 April 2006 - don't autoconnect GPS, if GPS name is not already set even if the setting "On startup GPS" is on. (Earlier version could hang the phone during application start, if the option "On startup GPS" was on and the option "Store GPS BT name" was off) v2.18 ----- Release date 3 April 2006 - Do not give a warning about intentional GPS disconnection v2.17 ----- Release date 30 March 2006 - ini file load/save error warnings - BT power state check - GPS disappear warning v2.16 ----- Release date 28 February 2006 - Reset the GPRS reconnection mechanism, if opening a socket fails. - The earlier versions did not reconnect after a possible 'leave' while opening a socket - More verbose access point and socket diagnostics to the log view (RSocket Open failed etc.) v2.15 ----- Release date 8 February 2006 - Possibility to set settings password - Possibility to set hostname for DynDNS based server (via Settings and auto-connect. The manual connect dialog still accepts only an IP address) - Support for skins added - Transmitted message counter added to the main view - More verbose access point and socket diagnostics to the log view (GPRS network busy msg etc.) v2.14 ----- Release date 12 January 2006 - Possibility to set the system attribute in the settings. This prevents the OS memory management of closing this app down, when the other applications need more memory. - Release BT system resources, when BT GPS not connected (close the socket server connection) - Source code comments added. v2.13 ----- Release date 5 January 2006 - Time-out handling in "Connect GPRS" changed to avoid the application leaving eternally to "Connecting IAP" state in some rare cases. v2.12 ----- Release date 2 January 2006 - Keep app running, if temporary failure in Internet access point validation (In earlier versions message "GetActiveIap GetIntSetting returned error" blocked the application and required user acknowledgement before continuing.) v2.11 ----- Release date 27 December 2005 - System startup reason added to Options -> GSM -> Show IMEI - More diagnostics info: Options -> GSM -> Show Task Info and Options -> GSM -> Show System Info - More robust error reporting in case of socket error (keep app running) v2.10 ----- Release date 12 December 2005 - Internal software refinement, no real effect to the user. (Make sure, that labels are truncated to 20 characters before sending or storing.) v2.00 ----- Release date 5 October 2005 Initial commercial release of the second generation of Aspicore GSM Tracker for S60: - Upload data either with UDP or with HTTP protocol. (UDP is still faster.) - Server can return textual reply messages with HTTP. - The GPRS reconnection mechanism is now even more robust, when there are frequent breaks in the cellular data connection.
